The experience of companies that effectively implement volunteer projects shows that, first of all, it is necessary to determine the format of the projects. The traditional volunteering, which still prevails, implies that employees are engaged in activities not typical of their professions: they organize work with children in orphanages or hospitals, take part in community work days and donor campaigns, take care of animals in shelters, and help elderly people.

Another form of employee participation, which is gaining popularity in the CIS, is pro bono, when employees use their knowledge and skills, their professional specialization for free assistance to non-profit organizations. This form of corporate volunteering is, of course, one of the most effective and promising, and most importantly there is always a need for it.

Let's look at the experience of Swiss companies. Allianz Suisse @allianzsuisse offers corporate volunteer programs. Employees can engage in non-profit activities one day a year with full compensation of wages. They, for example, can take people to a doctor or prepare for the mentally ill. Programs are initiated by both employees and the company. According to them, employees will return to their daily work with a fresh look, their motivation and satisfaction will increase, and group activities will strengthen the team spirit.
